ചെറുതിട്ട കല്ലോടിക്കുഴിയിൽ കുടുംബയോഗം
Cheruthitta Kallodikuzhiyil Kudumbayogam
The family of Idiculla, eldest of the four sons of the couple who left Kuravilangad, followed the Pampa to Kozhencherry, and bought land at Melukara.
The four lines
Idiculla's four sons founded the four lines that every later name belongs to. The colour of a line follows a name everywhere on this site.
His three brothers — Kunjummen at Kuttiyil, Ittyavara at Kottomannil and Thommy at Kallodikuzhiyil, all in Melukara — are named in the record but not traced here.
What this Kudumbayogam is for
To keep the family's record in one place, to make it usable by anyone descended from Idiculla, and — most urgently — to gather what the written record never held. The source gives names, houses and places. It gives no dates, no occupations, and almost no women.
The oldest generation can still place people no register can: who married whom, who moved where and why. That window closes. Everything else on this site exists to serve that.

Every recorded name
219 people in Idiculla's line
A working list. Each name below is missing something the source never held. If you can place a person, or know a wife's or daughter's name, the household form is the way to tell the custodian.
How are we related?
Pick any two of the 219 people in Idiculla's line. Blood relations follow the tree; a spouse is connected through the person they are married to.
The first person is you. Clear the box or pick another name to compare any two people.
പാരമ്പര്യം
A couple left Kuravilangad looking for fertile ground, followed the Pampa to Kozhencherry, and bought land at Melukara. Everyone in this record descends from their four sons.

The former couple of the Kallodikuzhiyil family moved from Kuravilangad in search of fertile land, reached Kozhencherry Melukara on the banks of the Pampa River, bought the land belonging to Adukkoli Potty, built a house and settled there. The couple had four sons. The eldest, Idiculla, settled in Cheruthitta Kallodikuzhiyil, Edanadu; the second, Kunjummen Idiculla, at Kuttiyil in Melukara; the third, Ittyavara, at Kottomannil in Melukara; and the fourth, Thommy, at Kallodikuzhiyil in Melukara.
The four sons of Idiculla
Of the four brothers, the record follows the eldest, Idiculla of Cheruthitta Kallodikuzhiyil in Edanadu. His four sons founded the four lines that every later name in this tree belongs to. The lines of Kunjummen, Ittyavara and Thommy are named here but not yet traced.

What this record contains
The live record holds 223 named people across 8 generations. It began as a transcription of the Cheruthitta Kallodikuzhiyil & Plavelil family tree, version 1.0, May 2026, which listed 121 names. Names added since then were accepted through the custodian review, not inferred. The source gives names, houses and places of settlement. It does not give dates, spouses or occupations — those slots are shown as not recorded on each person's page so it is obvious what the family still has to gather.
How the joins were established
Every father-and-son link in this tree came off a connector line drawn in the source. Nothing was inferred from a name. Patronymics are the trap.
Filling the gaps
- Living memory first. The oldest generation still with us can place people the written record cannot.
- Dates of birth, marriage and death. Church registers at Kozhencherry, Kadapra, Edanadu, Othera and Koipuram are the usual source.
- The women. Wives, daughters and the families they married into are the single largest gap in this tree.
- The three untraced lines. Kuttiyil, Kottomannil and Kallodikuzhiyil-Melukara are not yet mapped at all.
Join the Kudumbayogam
Log in, apply, and wait for the committee to match you to the family record. Private details stay behind that approval.
Who can become a member
As decided by the committee.
- 01Descendants of Idiculla — anyone in the recorded line.
- 02Spouses of those descendants.
- 03Daughters of the families, who the written source almost entirely omits and whom this record needs.
- —Membership does not continue into further generations descending through daughters. The site will not approve a child as that woman, and a daughter’s household form cannot add children to this tree.
How joining works
- 1Log in with your name and email, then say how you descend from Idiculla — or pick your place on the tree if you are already listed.
- 2The application waits, with no access to anything private, until an administrator checks the claimed descent against the record.
- 3On approval you are linked to your own place in the tree — so the directory and the genealogy stay one thing rather than two lists that drift apart.
What stays private
The tree on this site is public, and shows living people as well as those who have died — their names, generation and place of settlement, which is what the source records. Contact details and dates of birth are not published; they sit behind the members' login. The year of birth is shown only to the person's own household and the committee.
The privacy notice says what is collected and why. A member who asks to be taken out of the directory will be taken out. Questions about membership, or a correction to the record, go to the Kudumbayogam committee at cheruthittakallodikuzhiyil@gmail.com.
